DIY Spot Cleaning

Should you or shouldn’t you try to clean a spot by yourself?  Many minor accidents can be treated using Do-It-Yourself methods, while some cannot.

Before you start spotting, consider the following:

For any DIY attempt, do not use inferior spotting solutions.  These chemical-laden, detergent-filled solutions will leave behind sticky residue, which will attract soil like a magnet and result in a worse problem.
